Electricity

Electricity without loss
- Up to 20% of the worlds electrical generation is lost in transmission and use.
- Based on 1995 numbers, saving just a quarter of that 20% loss represents more than 200,000 MW per year of newly available electricity from existing generation. For a comparison, the city of Tokyo, with more than 12 million inhabitants, consumes 60,000 MW per year.
- And remember, electrical usage is increasing exponentially year by year.
-
This is the promise of superconductivity.
